JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for passionate and highly skilled individuals who can help us make a difference in the lives of people in India who make a living collecting, sorting, recycling, and selling materials that someone else has thrown away. We are looking for people who share our values and are driven to create a positive change in the community.

JOB TITLE: Manager- Business Development

REPORTS TO: Director Marketplace

LOCATION: Hyderabad, Mumbai & Kolkata

Duties & Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential stakeholders, industries, and geographic areas for expansion.

  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to formulate effective business strategies.

  • Oversee market studies for sourcing raw materials, particularly focusing on plastics such as HDPE, LDPE, PP, etc.

  • Conduct in-depth consultations with potential Aggregator/Bailers to understand their unique requirements and provide customized solutions.

  • Lead negotiations with Aggregator/Bailers to finalize terms, conditions, and pricing.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and project implementation.

  • Coordinate with operations, logistics, and finance departments to meet Aggregator/Bailers needs effectively.

  • Stay abreast of waste management regulations and ensure that the company’s services comply with environmental standards.

  • Drive the achievement of individual and team targets in alignment with company objectives.

  • Provide strong leadership to the business development team, offering training, guidance and support as needed.

  • Actively participate in networking events and industry conferences to build relationships with potential clients and industry stakeholders.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Qualification - Graduate/Post Graduate

  • Experience - 7+ years in Plastics, Sustainability, Waste management, recycling, or any other related field.

General responsibilities

  • Ensure professionalism at all times and demonstrate exemplary prioritisation of workload skills.

  • Ensure that the PFC policies, SOPs, and protocols are being adhered to at all levels of the company.

  • Ensure strict adherence to data confidentiality and security.

  • Willingness to travel across Bengaluru city, including other places as per need of project or company.

  • Work closely with the PFC team and Partners.
