Marketing & PR Executive

Nature of Role: Hybrid (with travel for events/exhibitions)
Role Summary
We are seeking a Marketing & PR Executive with a strong specialization in Public Relations and Influencer Outreach. The primary focus of this role is to build Plastics For Change’s reputation, increase brand visibility, secure consistent media coverage, and develop relationships with journalists, influencers, and industry communities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Public Relations
Build, maintain, and expand relationships with journalists, editors, and media houses across sustainability, CSR, recycling, environment, and business domains.
Draft, refine, and distribute press releases, media pitches, and statements.
Proactively pitch story ideas, founder interviews, case studies, and impact stories to the media.
Coordinate media interactions, interviews, and press opportunities.
Maintain a structured media database and communication tracker.
Monitor media coverage, compile post-coverage reports, and measure PR impact.
Ensure brand narrative is consistent across all external communications.
2. Influencer Outreach & Partnerships
Identify and onboard influencers across sustainability, environment, lifestyle, and social impact categories.
Coordinate influencer briefings, content calendars, deliverables, and timelines.
Manage influencer campaigns end-to-end, including negotiations and contracting.
Track performance, impressions, engagement, and campaign ROI.
Build a long-term influencer community around Plastics For Change.
3. Campaign Support
Support execution of brand campaigns, awareness drives, and market outreach initiatives.
Coordinate with internal teams, designers, and vendors for campaign assets.
Maintain campaign calendars and timelines.
Assist in execution of product or certification announcements with PR amplification.
4. Event, Exhibition & Webinar Coordination
Support PR visibility for key events including expos, roundtables, and brand partnerships.
Coordinate logistics for exhibitions, booth branding, and materials.
Manage Zoom webinar flow, speaker coordination, registrations, and follow-up lists.
Prepare press kits, media notes, and event briefs for PR amplification.
5. Lead Generation (Light Responsibility)
Use tools like Apollo and LinkedIn to generate targeted lists for webinars, events, and outreach.
Maintain updated records of leads generated from PR and campaign initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, PR, Mass Communication, Journalism, or related fields.
4+ years of experience in Public Relations, Media Relations, or Influencer Coordination.
Existing media relationships or experience working with PR agencies is a strong advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to pitch stories and secure coverage independently.
Strong understanding of sustainability, CSR, or social impact industries (preferred but not mandatory).
Skills Required
Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
Excellent written communication for press releases and pitches.
Ability to negotiate and coordinate with influencers and external stakeholders.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple conversations and campaigns simultaneously.
Proactive, confident, and comfortable engaging with external audiences.
